I started taking an immersion course with Valerie in Greolieres at Le Foulon when I basically spoke no French. I enjoyed the course so much I have continued to take an annual immersion course for a week and weekly face to face classes during the summer while I am in France. During the time I am in England I have signed up for on line classes that are also fun to do (but not as fun as doing them face to face with Valerie!)
Needless to say my French today is like night and day to what it was when we started! I can't imagine not continuing these classes!

"I was working for an American company in the Côte d'Azur and took French lessons with Valerie for two years. We studied grammar, read the newspapers, watched movies and video clips, and I did an intensive course where we spent days going to cafes and talking to people. Valerie is a wonderful teacher and friend. As time passed, I was able to have dinners with our French friends and neighbors, listen to the radio, and I passed the driving license test in French. We wanted to take a French immersion course and I
thought it would be great to combine that with a trip to France. After finding
a list of immersion courses on the web, I contacted a few but the most
intriguing course was Valérie’s. She was able to offer us two weeks of
immersion (just the two of us) and a great selection of activities to get us
speaking French.
It was an amazing two weeks. Not only were we learning but also we got a chance
to visit many small towns and villages in and around Nice. Valérie’s style as a
teacher worked well for us. Not only that but she is very outgoing, warm,
friendly and passionate about life. I know I would go back in a heartbeat.
Gréolières is a small village but the people were friendly. There were restaurants,
a bakery and a small grocery store for those who want to “live” in the village.
And of course, if you have a car, you have the luxury of exploring all if the
Alpes Maritimes.
